Elizabeth Walmsley

Coaching is about helping motivated and capable individuals find and have confidence in their unique strengths, so that they make a real difference for themselves and others. My role is to challenge with courage and empathy, test and support – help make work fun and still get results.

Experience

Elizabeth has a wide range of business and leadership experience. She has managed strong minded boards and multicultural teams and brings the calm self assurance that comes from this experience to her coaching work. She has personally worked with & led significant change.

Her experience of global and international business includes living and working in France and Holland. She has a proven track record of strategy development, team formation and delivery in various public, and private entities – notably within 3i plc and ICI plc. She has managed growth in Europe, USA and Asia and built a multi million pound global technology business from start up to maturity including strategic alliance and acquisitions.

A common thread in her career is the management of change. She has established, shaped and led teams with great results. She knows how to help people and teams reach their potential. She
understands that while there is often rigorous debate on the ‘hard’ issues of ‘what and when’ there is often little focus on the ‘who and how’. And yet it is the ‘how’ that can make the difference between success and failure. Motivated and capable individuals acting as leaders or in teams make the real difference.

She has appreciated coaching in her own working life especially moving into roles and taking on new challenges. She has wide experience of mentoring & guiding others through personal and
complex organisational change and into new experiences. Elizabeth has enjoyed a wide portfolio of business activities including several non executive appointments. She has a strong commitment to work in the wider community. In her free time she enjoys the walks
and sights from her cottage on the Yorkshire Moors.
