Praesta LEADERS IN EXECUTIVE COACHING

Steve McCauley

Time to think clearly and strategically - we all need more of it! Coaching is valuable because it gives you the rare chance to reflect deeply on what's going to make a real difference to you. It's an opportunity to define the future you want, in your professional life. Coaching also helps you to develop more effective ways to communicate with people. Creativity, innovation, communication and leadership: these are areas of special focus in my work with clients.

Experience

My business background is in media, communications and entertainment, areas which are being transformed rapidly by digital technology, globalisation and changing regulations. As such, I am used to dealing with change, ambiguity and paradox. I bring real-world experience and perspective, which helps generate new ideas. I've provided advice to leaders in multinational companies and have experience of starting and running businesses. I have also been a professional speaker for over ten years and appear on television and radio, as a commentator. So, I'm able to help my clients, if needed, on communication, presentation and personal impact.

Professional Expertise

Recently, I guided the European launch of eMusic, the world's number two digital music service. I have advised many international clients, as well as entrepreneurial ventures. In the mid 90's, I co-founded Leavesden Studios, where films such as Golden Eye (James Bond), Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace and the Harry Potter movies were shot. I also turned around a UK software company and led the successful launch of its new programme in the United States. In the late 1980s, I moved to the US and held executive roles in two US entertainment companies. The second role was as international president of a NASDAQ - quoted digital entertainment company.

Way back, after a spell playing in pop bands, I co-founded a music programming company in the mid 1980s, which became a leader in its field.
