Robin Linnecar
Each client has a unique combination of skills, talents, strengths and attributes. My role is to enable him/her to become so self aware that appropriate choices are made for both the short and the long term objectives. Establishing at the outset what measurable success should look like, is a prerequisite for the client. My skill is then in asking the right questions.
Experience
Robin qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen and after two years embarked on a personnel career with Shell Research (UK), Shell Sarawak (Malaysia) and Shell Expro (UK). Over a ten year period this provided experience in line management, training, succession planning, resourcing, organisation and management development, employee relations and strategic HR and government policy. He was HR Partner in Deloitte Haskins and Sells (now PriceWaterhouse Coopers) for six years and then via Coopers/ Deloitte and KPMG ran a senior executive career consultancy and mentoring practice for six years. At the same time he wrote a weekly column in the London Evening Standard in 1994/95. He joined The Change Partnership in 1996, two years after it started up and helped grow the business to 85 coaches both in the UK and internationally and he is now the Chairman of Praesta International.
Wide exposure to and understanding of business organisations, combined with over fifteen years of coaching experience, means that Robin brings a wealth of questions in exploring perspectives and options with his clients.
He is married to Joanna a teacher, has two daughters in employment, grandchildren and a son who runs his own business. He plays golf and cricket and has played rugby to the highest level. He is an active member of his local church and writes poetry in his spare time.
Professional Expertise
Robin has worked with Chairs, Chief Executives, Senior Partners, Directors and top level business men and women across all sectors. He has a particular interest in how Board directors work with rather than against each other for mutual benefit. He also enjoys working with high potential leaders coming up to Board appointments and all those wishing to achieve breakthrough in their leadership effectiveness.
