In an increasingly pressurised world it is particularly isolated operating at senior levels in an organisation. As a coach I help my clients to understand their strengths and the impact they have on others around them and to be at their most effective more of the time.
Experience
In her coaching work, Mairi provides challenge, support and insight into business leadership.
She helps her clients to understand themselves, and their own style and to develop these through increased personal knowledge and a broader range of techniques. She believes that coaching should be constructively challenging, carried out with understanding and empathy. Her clients tell her she is charmingly direct and robust!
Mairi combines her coaching role with that of Managing Partner of Praesta and this gives her a highly real world and practical approach.
She has also worked with a number of senior women, helping them with work life balance and credibility in predominantly male environments.
Professional Expertise
Mairi has coached senior teams and individuals since 1995. She has worked with Boards, Chief Executives, Directors and leaders in a wide range of sectors and in professional services and the public and charitable sectors.
She is Managing Partner of Praesta Partners LLP and Member of the Praesta International Board.
Mairi has also sat in both an executive and non-executive capacity on a number of Boards and Governmental Committees.
In her previous business career, Mairi has been an audit partner in one of the Big 4 accountancy firms, a member of the firm's management committee, leading Human Resources, founder and Managing Director of a consultancy business focusing on organisational changes, where she worked with senior leaders in a variety of sectors to manage organisational change.
